Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.

Comments - Charming scene of a couple strolling through the snow. The young may holds an umbrella over the beauty as she pauses to tie a narrow red sash around her coat. Snow-covered reeds line the edge of a flowing river behind them, with clouds above. Beautiful embossed detail in the pattern of the man's light green coat. A handsome image.
