Comments - Terrific scene of Fujiwara no Hidehira, the Lord of Mutsu, holding court in his palace. Hidehira was a powerful 12th century daimyo and a longtime protector and benefactor of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. He sits in a separate room at upper right, his two pages at his side, while nobleman gather in the spacious interior, dressed in voluminous formal court robes. The men in the center bow respectfully toward their lord, while at left, a long line of petitioners enters the room to await their turns. A fantastic design with wonderful detail. A great choice for a samurai collector.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. A few small holes, repaired. Creasing, slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
