From an untitled triptych series of the Six Jewel Rivers

The Bush Clover Jewel River in Omi Province, 1847 - 1848 - Lovely triptych depicting three women by the Bush Clover or Noji Jewel River. The beauty in the center bends down to pull some blossoms from the tangled mass of bush clover growing along the edge of the narrow, meandering river. She smiles aback at her companion, who carries a softly glowing lantern and a small wicker insect or bird cage. Her kimono is shaded from blue-gray to green, patterned with waterwheels and blossoms and tied with a red brocade obi. A beautiful design with soft shading in the gray twilight sky.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few small holes and small thinning spots, repaired, blends well. Slight creasing and soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
