Blooming Cherry Blossoms at Yoshiwara in the Eastern Capital

Comments - Always a popular choice of illustration for woodblock prints artists, this bold depiction of the Yoshiwara during cherry blossoms season is one of the most beautiful illustrations of this subject that we've ever seen. This is the first time we've ever offered this design and, as Kuniyasu is a rarer artist to find on the market, it is not a design we expect to see again soon. Don't miss out - bid or buy now.

Artist - Kuniyasu (1794 - 1832)

Image Size - 30 1/8" x 14 1/2"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Three separate panels. A few light spots or stains. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Some rubbing, soiling and light creases. A horizontal crease at center. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
