The Courtesan Takigawa at the First Sale of the New Year Celebration in the Parlor

Comments - Striking, full-length portrait of the famous Gion courtesan Takigawa, elegantly dressed in a flowing kimono. She adjusts a hairpin as she looks over her shoulder, her robes trailing gracefully onto the floor around her. A beautiful design with soft color and a subtle mica background.

Artist - Eishi (1756 - 1829)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Toning, slight creasing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
